To celebrate the month of women, the founders of FT Talent, Virginia Stagni, and The Female Lead, Edwina Dunn, hosted a conversation about women empowerment in the workplace.

Participants joined them to explore both Edwina and Virginia’s personal and professional journeys as founders of initiatives that support the younger generation, their lessons in leadership and confidence, their visions for the future, and the importance of supporting women.

Edwina Dunn

Edwina Dunn is one of the most successful leaders in the data industry, with a career of delivering transformational business change. She co-founded Dunnhumby, which revolutionised the world of retail and consumer goods when they pioneered Tesco Clubcard and other global loyalty programmes. With her expertise in consumer insights and technology, she went on to become the former Chair at Starcount where she helped forge a new era of consumer insight and technology.

In addition to her impressive business achievements, Edwina is also the Founder and Chair of The Female Lead, an educational foundation celebrating the achievements and diversity of women who shape our world. The foundation uses data to understand the challenges women face, working with business and government to help create new models and policies for the workplace, all driven by a social platform with over 7 million followers.

In 2019, Edwina received an OBE for her services to data and business in the UK. She is a former Chair at the Centre for Data Ethics & Innovation (CDEI) and a former Board member of the Geospatial Commission. Edwina's impressive career spans multiple industries, and her dedication to creating a more equitable and diverse world is an inspiration to many.
